Becoming’s monthly Circle of Connection is our core tradition. It is here that we come together to build and strengthen our connections with the world around us, each other, and the Divine. The road to membership in Becoming begins and ends with the monthly Circle of Connection.
The circle provides a safe space to temporarily step outside of the hectic pace of our daily lives to re-affirm our relationships with the divine that infuses everything that is. It is a time of thanksgiving and healing with caring and fun people.
The monthly Circle is held on the second Sunday of the month from 12:15pm to 1:15pm, with lunch following. This month we will be charging the handmade toys for the Nigerian “witch” children with love, healing, and protection.
Newbies’ Guide to Becoming’s Monthly Circle (pdf) Please read the Newbies’ Guide before attending your first monthly Circle of Connection, even if you have attended other Becoming events.

Time: Gather at 1pm
Location: Hains Point in Washington, DC
Sponsored by Carly
RSVP Required - Carly (at) Becomingdc.org
Let’s celebrate abundance with a feast at Haines Point. In the spring, at the Spring Rite of Blessing we travel hours and hours to the tiny source of the Potomac. In the Fall, we brave the wilds of Washington DC to celebrate the fullness of the Potomac and the fall harvest.
We’ll meet right near where the “Awakening” sculpture at the tip of East Potomac Park (Haines Point) and feast and celebrate abundance. If picnic tables are available we’ll use them, but bring a big blanket if you can — just in case.
Where:
* Haines Point (Links to Map)
When:
* Saturday, September 29
* 1pm - 3pm
What to Bring:
* A seasonal dish that symbolizes abundance in your life
* Things to serve it with
* A plate, flatware, and cup for yourself
* Any poems or blessings you’d like to offer to the community to celebrate the current abundance and ensure that it continues through the winter months.
Also, Haines Point is not metro accessible — so if you will need a ride please speak up or speak to those who you think may be driving.
If you are coming, please let me know (if you can) roughly what kind of a dish you think you’ll be bringing so I can fill in any gaps there may be. Not that I really worry about that with this group

Raise your spiritual anchors and prepare to set sail with Captains Eric and Evan! This fourth Saturday the good captains will lead you on a journey of freedom and liberty. Pirates on the open sea are free to be who they want, free to make their own decisions, and are free of social constraints. Some constraints inhibit our self-destructive impulses, while others limit our potential as free individuals.
Aye, and we encourage you to dress like a pirate, tho’ you won’t be walkin’ the plank if you don’t.
Smartly, land lubbers, RSVP to Eric (at) becomingdc (dot) org!
