Circle of Connection (Open)

Sunday, November 8, 2009
Time: 12:00 noon
Location: Sticks and Stones, 9970 Main Street, Fairfax, VA

RSVP: Eric (at) becomingdc.org

Becoming’s monthly Circle of Connection is our core tradition. It is here that we come together to build and strengthen our connections with the world around us, each other, and the Divine. The road to membership in Becoming begins and ends with the monthly Circle of Connection.

The circle provides a safe space to temporarily step outside of the hectic pace of our daily lives to re-affirm our relationships with the divine that infuses everything that is. It is a time of thanksgiving and healing with caring and fun people.

There will be no Seekers Class this month.

Dinner is potluck. We encourage you to bring your own non-disposable plate, cup, and utensils for the potluck to decrease environmental waste.

Newbies’ Guide to Becoming’s Monthly Circle (pdf) Please read the Newbies’ Guide before attending your first monthly Circle of Connection, even if you have attended other Becoming events.

Spiritual Crafts for the Holidays (Friends & Members)

Saturday, November 15, 2008
Time: 5pm
Location: Private residence in Upper Marlboro, MD
RSVP by November 3: cindy@becomingdc.org

Sponsored by Cindy

The November Friends and Member’s event “Spiritual Crafts for the Holidays” will be held at 5 PM in a private residence in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Address will be given to those who RSPV to cindy@becomingdc.org.

With all the hustle and bustle from Samhain to Yule, Becoming Friends & Members take a couple of hours to create an item that speaks to our spirit. Using natural materials either gathered (twigs, stones, bark) or created (natural cloths, fibers) from Gaia herself, you will go home with only one tangible object but tons of ideas to continue in the creative spirit throughout the Holy-days. Enough basic materials will be provided for each attendee to create one item, but feel free to bring your own to personalize. If there is enough interest, I will meet at 4 PM for a foraging expedition prior to the event. Light refreshments will be served.
