EXPERIENCE THE ELEMENTS HANDS ON

RSVP Required - Nancy (at) Becomingdc.org by May 20, including the number of people attending and what food/beverage, etc. you will bring.

This event is “friends and members plus” — spouses/significant others and children of friends and members are invited.

There will be some ritual throughout the event, including honoring the elements and the Becoming secret handshake, guests may participate if they are comfortable doing so.

We’ll fly kites (air), bar-b-que (fire), install and bless a “water feature” in the garden (water), and do some planting (earth) — and have a lot of fun in the process!

Please do not email Nancy that afternoon as she will be setting up. She can be reached on her cell phone (given when you RSVP) in an emergency.

Any extra hands to help set up an hour or so early would be appreciated.

Things to Bring:

• lawn/beach chair or blanket
• towel
• sun screen
• bug repellent(probably not necessary yet but bring if you’re sensitive)
• any outdoor fun things; bubbles, balls, Frisbees etc
• if you have a canopy you can bring, extra shade may be helpful
• a kite if you have one

SHOULD THE WEATHER NOT COOPERATE I.E. HEAVY RAINS PREDICTED ALL DAY THERE WILL BE AN INDOOR POTLUCK DINNER AT 5:30 PM.
