This service/ritual is perfect for Renewalniks, Earth-based Jews, Jewitches, Jewish Pagans, Pagans of Jewish Ethnicity, or anyone who feel that annual call of the ancestors, and wish to celebrate the “birthday of the world,” but is looking for a more participatory and earth-based experience. While this service is is intended for Earth-based Jews, it is open to any, Jewish or Gentile, who wish to attend.

Bring your shofars and drums, and ritual dress is encouraged – but street clothes are fine. If you’ve celebrated, you know what to expect — so now you can participate even more! To prepare you may want to review your year and begin thinking about what it is you what to do or who it is you want to be in the new year.

After the ritual, there will be Kiddush where sweets and desserts will be served. Please feel free to bring something to share to ensure we all have a sweet new year!

RSVP Required RSVPs are needed to ensure we do not exceed the capacity of our location. Please do a mitzvah and RSVP in advance.

Location Nolte Park is a Montgomery County Park, so alcohol is not permitted. The location is NOT metro accessible and I do not know if it can accommodate wheelchairs.

Important Notes The service will be held inside this year. Incense will be used. Please no children under 12 without checking with Ketzirah first.
