Private Home in Washington, DC
RSVP: Carly (at) becomingdc.org

Circle Notes:
Carly will lead the second of four post-circle discussions on sacred food and eating practices. (February, April, September, December)
Becoming’s monthly Circle of Connection is our core tradition. It is here that we come together to build and strengthen our connections with the world around us, each other, and the Divine. The road to membership in Becoming begins and ends with the monthly Circle of Connection.
The circle provides a safe space to temporarily step outside of the hectic pace of our daily lives to re-affirm our relationships with the divine that infuses everything that is. It is a time of thanksgiving and healing with caring and fun people.
The monthly Circle is held on the second Sunday of the month from 12:00pm to 1:30pm, with lunch following. We usually hold a classes or discussion on a variety of topics afterward from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Please read the Newbies Guide (pdf) before attending your first monthly Circle of Connection, even if you have attended other Becoming events.

We had about 10 people at circle — all members.
Nancy rang the bell. Ashley honored the elements using herbs and foods to engage our senses. Eric led us in honoring deity. Mark blessed the chocolate and wine.
I really liked trying a new way to honor the elements, and it worked, in part, because each person already had the basics down. It engaged the physical senses of smell and taste primarily, and Ashley brought in some of the magical/energetic correspondences as well.
For our working this month, Carly told a story about the search for “well of the sun” and how we should look in the everyday world for wisdom.
Due to the cold, we decided to share indoors with bowls of hot, yummy squash soup.
