Circle of Connection (Open)

Sunday, March 14, 2010
Time: Gather at 12noon. Ritual starts at 12:15pm.
Location: Location: Sticks and Stones, 9970 Main Street, Fairfax, VA

RSVP: Eric (at) becomingdc.org

Becoming’s monthly Circle of Connection is our core tradition. It is here that we come together to build and strengthen our connections with the world around us, each other, and the Divine. The road to membership in Becoming begins and ends with the monthly Circle of Connection.

The circle provides a safe space to temporarily step outside of the hectic pace of our daily lives to re-affirm our relationships with the divine that infuses everything that is. It is a time of thanksgiving and healing with caring and fun people.

Dinner is potluck. We encourage you to bring your own non-disposable plate, cup, and utensils for the potluck to decrease environmental waste.

Newbies’ Guide to Becoming’s Monthly Circle (pdf) Please read the Newbies’ Guide before attending your first monthly Circle of Connection, even if you have attended other Becoming events.

Rite of Spring Blessing

Date: Saturday, March 27, 2009
Time: 1:00pm gather with ritual starting at 1:30pm
Location: Great Falls Park, Great Falls, Virginia
RSVP Required by March 25, 2010: Angela (@) Becomingdc.org

Every spring, the Potomac River brings fresh water from the mountains to our region to rinvigorate the land for the coming growing season. Join Becoming at Great Falls, a place of raw power where the waters tumble forth in exuberance. We will bless this influx of nurturing water; offer our songs, poems, and praise; and speak out our intentions for growth in the coming year.

Bring a song or poem for the praise offering, an intent for this year’s personal growth, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothes.

We will have a potluck picnic lunch after the ritual. Please bring a dish to share and your own utensils.

If you need a ride from the metro or would like to carpool, please let Angela know when you RSVP.
