EXPERIENCE THE ELEMENTS HANDS ON

RSVP Required - Nancy (at) Becomingdc.org by May 20, including the number of people attending and what food/beverage, etc. you will bring.

This event is “friends and members plus” — spouses/significant others and children of friends and members are invited.

There will be some ritual throughout the event, including honoring the elements and the Becoming secret handshake, guests may participate if they are comfortable doing so.

We’ll fly kites (air), bar-b-que (fire), install and bless a “water feature” in the garden (water), and do some planting (earth) — and have a lot of fun in the process!

Please do not email Nancy that afternoon as she will be setting up. She can be reached on her cell phone (given when you RSVP) in an emergency.

Any extra hands to help set up an hour or so early would be appreciated.

Things to Bring:

• lawn/beach chair or blanket
• towel
• sun screen
• bug repellent(probably not necessary yet but bring if you’re sensitive)
• any outdoor fun things; bubbles, balls, Frisbees etc
• if you have a canopy you can bring, extra shade may be helpful
• a kite if you have one

SHOULD THE WEATHER NOT COOPERATE I.E. HEAVY RAINS PREDICTED ALL DAY THERE WILL BE AN INDOOR POTLUCK DINNER AT 5:30 PM.

Friends and Members are invited to a potluck dinner and informal salon discussion on the topic of Spirituality and Sex, Sex and Spiritual Practice. Bring your experiences, your opinions, and an open mind — many different views will be represented around the table.

RSVP Required by Wednesday, February 21. Email Nancy (at) Becomingdc.org. Limit 15 people. Email sent the day of the event cannot be read due to event preparations.

Dinner is sit-down potluck. Let Nancy know what you will bring or, if you will need a Metro pick up/drop off. If you don’t cook, purchased desserts, tea, coffee, cream etc are welcomed.

Friends and Members are invited to make a Year of the Wheel tree. Over the course of the year, you’ll use your tree to represent five wishes you make for the next year.

You need to come prepared by researching and purchasing small amounts of herbs that represent 5 wishes for the year. I will supply the rest of the materials for a $2 fee.
