Ever wonder why the Walnut tree is used to aid in wisdom? Curious
about the folklore surrounding trees? Frustrated that city living
makes it hard to understand and appreciate these icons of our ancestors?
We have a solution! This month's friends and members ritual will
be held at the National Arboretum, where we will discuss this folklore
and more.
In sacred space, we will explore some of the lore surrounding a
handful of trees and discover why the lore may have developed, or,
what attributes of a given tree lent themselves to particular spirits.
We will then translate that lore into our contemporary urban environment.
Afterwards, we can carpool to an ice-cream shop or eatery!
