We are a family composed of people of
many faith traditions who seek community in honoring Deity and the
world around us.
We are people who see the Divine, in
all its diversity, alive in the people we meet and the world we
live in. In fact, some of us see no hierarchical division between
the physical and the spiritual, the creation and the creator(s),
the body and the soul. Some would call us pantheists;
some would call us pagan…including some within Becoming.
We are a circle of people who come together
freely to honor the relationships that make life sparkle. The Earth
is seen as alive. Everything around us is connected. Our core values
of respect, honesty, and commitment flow from the premise that “The
Divine abounds everywhere and dwells in everything. The Many are
One.” The sacred flows around us and through us all the
time. We have merely to pay attention to it and honor it.
Angela Roberts, Celebrant
The Celebrant is Becoming’s clergy position. The Celebrant
is primarily for officiating the monthly circles and rituals, teaching
classes, and acting as spiritual guide and counseling for the people
in the Becoming family.
Carly Lesser, Steward
The Steward works with the Celebrant guiding Becoming. Besides being
responsible for the group’s recordkeeping, the Steward guides
the long-term growth of Becoming.
Nancy Scherer, Member Representative
The Member Representative is the liason to the membership. The Member
Representative acts as lay-leadership and advises the Celebrant
and Stewards.
